During our three-day stay in Bangalore, we had the opportunity to explore several impactful and inspiring places.
On the first day, we visited Yours Truly Theatre, where we had a reflection session on the trip so far. The highlight of the visit was the incredible performance by the actors. I was truly impressed by how they created spontaneous scenes based on prompts we gave them — all without any prior preparation. Their creativity and talent left a lasting impression on me.
We also participated in a workshop at Reap Benefit, an organization that focuses on civics and climate citizenship. The session emphasized leadership, empathy, and teamwork. It was an eye-opening experience that made me reflect on the role each of us plays in bringing about change in our communities.
Another significant part of our trip was visiting Hasiru Dala, a center where the city's waste is collected, segregated, and managed. We had the chance to interact with the workers there, and I felt genuinely happy and grateful to speak with them. Their dedication to managing waste and contributing to a cleaner environment was truly inspiring.
As part of our reflection activities, we also went for a walk on MG Road, where we engaged in reflection sessions and quick quizzes. This helped us internalize what we had learned and experienced during the trip.
Towards the end of our visit, we had the privilege of touring the Infosys Headquarters. It was fascinating to see how such a large and successful company is committed to sustainability. I was impressed by their initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint and their efforts to recycle waste and maintain an eco-friendly environment.
Overall, the trip to Bangalore was a wonderful learning experience. It helped me grow personally, understand the importance of community action, and appreciate the value of sustainability and leadership.
