Damchoe Yedzhin Norbu

Bhutan

Hailing from the eastern region of Bhutan, Damchoe’s sense of community has always been shaped by traditional ways of life—agriculture, the wisdom of elders, and the cultural richness of the 7 Gifts. His background in the Bhutan Baccalaureate program instilled in him the values of holistic education, blending academics with cultural and emotional learning. In India, his blog reflected the same balance—capturing both awe at cultural heritage sites and an appreciation for shared human connection. His experiences on nature retreats at home helped him see the environment in India through a different lens, connecting climate realities in Bhutan with those he witnessed abroad. A reflective writer, Damchoe used his words to capture both gratitude and responsibility, emphasizing how youth must bridge tradition and modern ideas. His journey map is one of carrying forward both heritage and global perspectives, aiming to create sustainable solutions for his people.
