On Day 9, the #360plus cohort embarked on an early morning journey to the serene and biodiverse Matheran, a destination renowned for its rich natural beauty and ecological significance. The day began at Echo Point, where the students delved into the study of sustainable practices and the delicate balance of ecosystems. The breathtaking views served as a perfect backdrop for understanding how sound waves travel and reflect, a natural phenomenon that has captivated visitors for ages. The journey continued to Charlotte Lake, a picturesque body of water that not only offers a scenic view but also plays a crucial role in water conservation for the area. Despite the weather, the students learned about the historical significance of the lake and its role in supplying water to the local community. The walk around the lake provided an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the river flow alongside nature’s splendor. One of the cohort members shared, “I really enjoyed the walk and seeing how beautiful it was; the beauty of the river flow along with the nature around it was truly stunning.” The group also visited King George Point, where they were captivated by the lush greenery and the historical context of the site.  The day concluded with a visit to Raigad-Khalapur, a place that left the students awestruck with its stunning landscapes and panoramic views. The surrounding greenery and majestic mountains were complemented by a refreshing breeze, making the experience even more memorable. The joy of monsoon rains, shared laughter, and the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the region made Day 9 an unforgettable chapter in the cohort’s journey. As they continue their exploration, the students eagerly anticipate more adventures and the invaluable lessons that lie ahead.
