Day 17 began with a serene visit to the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, where the students embarked on a nature trail that allowed them to connect deeply with the environment. The day started with a silent walk, giving them a moment of reflection amid the lush greenery. Following this peaceful interlude, the students engaged in interactive games and explored the rock area, marveling at the geological formations. The afternoon took the students to Bare Necessities for a fascinating visit focused on composting and recycling plastic. The session kicked off with an ice-breaker game, challenging students to identify different types of plastic in the room. The cohort delved into the history of plastic, learning about its pervasive presence and the global garbage crisis it has created. A comprehensive waste management demonstration to the students also highlighted the significance of segregation and composting for them. After an educational tour, the students partake in a fun DIY session taught them how to make their own coffee body scrub. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The day concluded with an enriching heritage walk through Bengaluru, allowing them to see the city’s history through a new lens. This experience left the cohort motivated to implement sustainable practices in their daily lives and to advocate for environmental conservation.
