On Day 16, the students visited the Museum of Arts and Photography, a beautiful place dedicated to the conservation of India’s rich artistic heritage. They had the privilege of meeting the founder, who shared his passionate mission to preserve the country’s legacy. The students learned that photography, often overlooked as an art form in India, plays a crucial role in capturing and preserving moments in history. As one student reflected, “I learned about new art styles which use materials that can easily be destroyed if they are not properly taken care of. And in the colonial period, India wasn’t really getting much photos, so I like that this studio exists to conserve these things.”
The day continued with a visit to the Advaith Foundation, an inspiring educational institution. Starting from just two students, the learnt was able to understand how the foundation has grown to support 250 students across two campuses. The learning opportunities provided to children facing financial or personal challenges, offering them a chance to thrive in a supportive environment, inspired many to learn more about the field and potentially contribute to making a difference someday. The success stories of the graduates, who have excelled in their fields, left a lasting impression on the cohort.
To cap off the day, the students roamed the vibrant streets of Bengaluru, immersing themselves in the city’s lively atmosphere. They ended the night on a sweet note, eagerly anticipating the adventures and learning experiences yet to come.
