  • Namma Bengaluru

‎Bengaluru had a very good climate. We got a chance to use our sweaters. We went to a very unique type of theatre named yours truly. That was a new experience to me. I really loved the actors. Also we visited lalbagh for a quick reflection/quiz.MY TEAM WON. Shopping on MG road was so fun.

‎Visited Hasirudala too, to meet the waste pickers. It felt so good knowing about their perspective on waste management. Also we had a nice lunch in the most creative restaurant I have ever visited. We were literally eating in a plane.

‎Next day, we attended the reap benefits workshop. They had a very practical learning method for the waste management and climate citizenship. I also made my first sandwich over there. They also provided us with cardboards, to bring our prototypes to life. It was so cool.   After that workshop, we went for a short nature walk and also met one of the co-founders of INFOSYS, Mr. Shibulal. Being interested in tech, it was very informative for me.

‎The last day in Bangalore, we had a farewell planned. It was so sad, going through our journey so far. I wish I could spend more time with my friends. That feeling was mutual. We also met Mr. Shibulal’s daughter. She was so kind and had the same mindset as her dad. It was fun meeting her. We end the Bengaluru trip, by visiting the Infosys campus.

  • Infosys Company

Today after the breakfast we take the bus for the entreprise Infosys. One founder of this company was Mr S.D Shibulal and he is pay for this trip and take part for this program. I’m very thankful for that and not just for him but for everyone that works for this program. I was really curious to visit that Iand I really enjoyed this.We arrived in the place and the building from outside looks very nice and big. We had started to have a security test to enter in this company and it’s a good thing it’s show that this place is a safe place. A man who work here joins us to present just quickly the building. And we enter inside in a room that the same man present to us what did this company do and how this building has a very good architecture inside and outside. We speak about this and it’s very interesting how they change their plans to be better. This building is also new (2023) and many things has created and changed here. For example the lights use less electricity than a normal one (-30%).The windows are very strong with a system that the sun can’t come inside. And the climatisation are small but very ergonomic things. And in this building they have many machines or systems like to this and this help the environment. The building is about 2000/3000 m2 and that’s amazing They explained how they change their plans to be Informatica’s company and they were the 1st enterprise in India to do this change. We speak with the man after this and ask some questions and after that we went to a other room. This room was so cool it’s look like a political room and we were there. The director of this place in Bengaluru come and explain us the history of this place and what act and work  here. We saw a video to resume that. And I remember that this place has created in 1994 and in the past there were 7 founders to create this company Infosys. After that we take one small bus to go in the campus for 5/10 minutes. The campus was really incredible and I really love it there is everything that you need. It’s look like an island and some people live there and work there. We arrived in the principal building and we enter inside. We started to go in an informatical room. And one employee of here explains us this parts of the entreprise. Je speak about many many things like what can you do here, how important is a informatically things like smartphone or computer. He show us how just with his computer he can know everything in everywhere. That was very interesting and scared. He really can know everything like if this machine is working or not, the temperature, what are the employees working really everything all the details. I understand that everything is connected and you can get what if you want if you have the right support. After that we go visited visiting this building and walked into this. The building was really and expensive. We saw one portal that called the 2 world. And that’s sad because it’s show the poor part in one side and the rich part in the other side and what this present and mean. And finally the last room that we saw was a meeting room but for important and rich people. I was impressed by this amazing room and how important people work that’s crazy. And we saw some pictures of famous man and important man in this company and we saw Mr Sridar. He didn’t tell us that he worked here for more than 10 years. He too is a very interesting man that did many different things. He had a important status here and that’s very good. After this visit we have finished the visit and go to eat. We eat in the restaurant in this building. The food was really good and I like that. Today I really like this activity because I really want to discover some big companies in India and businesses in India. Infosys is famous in many countries in the world and they also work in many countries.

  • Nature, Emotions, and Discoveries ✨💗

In Bangalore, the atmosphere was different from all the other cities we had visited so far. It was cooler, with a gentle breeze 🌬️, which contrasted pleasantly with the intense heat of New Delhi, Ahmedabad, or Mumbai 🌞. I loved all the activities we did there; they were just as fun as they were enriching. Going out into the streets to interview locals about the challenges they face due to the increasing rainfall 🌧️ was a memorable moment. Reflecting together on concrete solutions pushed us to think beyond this trip, imagining how we could act once we’re back home 🌍. But what touched me the most was the activity with the actors 🎭: they performed scenes that were deeply moving about our relationship with nature 🌿, with such sincerity that I cried 😢. It was beautiful, powerful, and at that moment, I truly felt the urgent need to do something for our planet 🌎.

On the penultimate day, before heading back to New Delhi, we had a very emotional day marked by a farewell ceremony 🎉. We thanked each other for this unique experience before going out for a Mexican dinner 🌮. That night was intense, filled with laughter 😂, tears 😭, and the realization that we were all going to miss each other 💔. On the last day, we visited the Infosys campus, a truly impressive place 🏢. The buildings were not only stunning but also sustainable 🌱, a perfect example of the harmony between technology, nature, and resource conservation ♻️. The no-waste approach, both for water and electricity 💧⚡, really struck me. It was a place where nature blended seamlessly with the architecture, and I absolutely loved the visit 💖.

  • Bengaluru: Where Climate Meets Culture

It’s a great place to visit. I really loved all the activities we have done in Bengaluru. The skit play session was amazing. The actors were awesome and again the playful moments with them helped us to learn and broaden our vision towards climate change and its consequences.I loved the weather of Bengaluru. And the street walk was fun.Coming people together sharing experiences and learning. It helped to improve my efficiency and leadership skills. There are always lots of people all around the togetherness has its own affection. Today I started my day with a healthy breakfast and an exciting job of giving a title to one of my friends. We are provided a bookmark with a green activity scribbed on it. Again we got a card where possible climatic changes were written. Our main focus was water. We found a main office and there the session started with jotting down our observations and ideas. Coming up with possible solutions too.Again we made posters and few machines to solve the civic issues. It’s great learning of government bodies and it was fun to interview people with different cultures . Talking with love feels like a smile is the universal language. It’s fun to represent ourselves through thoughts, ideas and creativity.Understanding mutual interests in different aspects is something like we feel united. Climate citizenship doesn’t only include our local address where our home is. Our home is Earth . Considering earth as home in mind and so many differences among will disappear which are just human constructs. A session with the CEO of Infosys has a wonderful lifetime moment. Learning through people is the best way to grasp every aspect of something . Learning about technology, artificial intelligence, machines, coding was mind blowing. The peaceful snacks made the day.The night dinner in a Mexican restaurant was just awesome. I experienced a new taste of takojo . Again we danced with the music. It’s lovely to dance around all our own. Enjoying every rhythm. Another day visit to Infosys campus was fun. Lots of things to watch around and learn how actually the tech company is trying to solve environmental issues. As I am from the engineering field it’s my dream coming true to meet the people of tech companies. And visiting its campus feels like heaven on the earth. I enjoyed each moment on campus.

  • Reflection on Our Trip to Bangalore

During our three-day stay in Bangalore, we had the opportunity to explore several impactful and inspiring places.

On the first day, we visited Yours Truly Theatre, where we had a reflection session on the trip so far. The highlight of the visit was the incredible performance by the actors. I was truly impressed by how they created spontaneous scenes based on prompts we gave them — all without any prior preparation. Their creativity and talent left a lasting impression on me.

We also participated in a workshop at Reap Benefit, an organization that focuses on civics and climate citizenship. The session emphasized leadership, empathy, and teamwork. It was an eye-opening experience that made me reflect on the role each of us plays in bringing about change in our communities.

Another significant part of our trip was visiting Hasiru Dala, a center where the city’s waste is collected, segregated, and managed. We had the chance to interact with the workers there, and I felt genuinely happy and grateful to speak with them. Their dedication to managing waste and contributing to a cleaner environment was truly inspiring.

As part of our reflection activities, we also went for a walk on MG Road, where we engaged in reflection sessions and quick quizzes. This helped us internalize what we had learned and experienced during the trip.

Towards the end of our visit, we had the privilege of touring the Infosys Headquarters. It was fascinating to see how such a large and successful company is committed to sustainability. I was impressed by their initiatives to reduce their carbon footprint and their efforts to recycle waste and maintain an eco-friendly environment.

Overall, the trip to Bangalore was a wonderful learning experience. It helped me grow personally, understand the importance of community action, and appreciate the value of sustainability and leadership.

  • Bangalore Diaries: Learning, Laughter & Lasting Memories

After a delayed flight, we finally reached Bangalore late at night and checked into the Lilac Hotel. The next day, we had a fun and interactive workshop with Yours Truly Theatre, where they performed a play based on audience inputs. Later, we visited the peaceful Lalbagh Botanical Garden, soaking in nature.

Over the next few days, we learned so much—from waste management with Hasiru Dala, to creative challenges with Reap Benefits at Cubbon Park, and even got to meet S.D. Shibulal, former CEO of Infosys! We also enjoyed good food at Tiger Aero, explored art at MAP, and heard from Shibulal’s daughter about her work in AI and restaurants.

This was our last week of the program, and the closing ceremony on the 25th felt so emotional. It was hard to say goodbye. On the 26th, we visited Infosys, got our Hasiru Dala certificates, and flew back to Delhi—hearts heavy, but full of unforgettable memories.

  • Bangalore!!!

Coming to Bangalore was such a relief because of the weather. When we first arrived it was very cold and surprising. It honestly made my experience better. On the first day, we went to an interactive theater performance. We had the opportunity to use our creativity to create solutions surrounding climate change. This was really impactful because I truly believe that the arts are a perfect way to raise awareness about a global issue. The next day, we went to reap benefits and found problems in a town in Bengaluru near a park and we interviewed people and observed the houses and people around us. We used those problems to create prototypes of potential solutions to those problems. My topic was weather and we interviewed a fruit vendor. We connected weather and climate change to the economic issues that are tied to people trying to make a living relying on the environment. I learned that climate change affects every aspect of human life. We also met with S. D. Shibulal and asked him questions about his professional experience as one of the founders of infosys. We visited the infosys campus as well and it was so interesting to learn about how they control all of their building all over the world.
