Today was the “Aha” moment for my group. Yesterday, we focused a lot on defining the problem and asking specific questions to gain insight on rooms for improvement, but we were stuck. Even after spending time in the field and interviewing village elders, none of our ideas seemed practical and sustainable. With the help of Eli and Caitlin however, we realized the key. We didn’t necessarily need to find a completely new strategy or look in places outside of what is accessible here to find our solution. We had what we needed right here. In essence, we came up with a campaign to spread awareness regarding water management. It includes different methods of conserving water agriculturally, and we plan to return to the village tomorrow to set it off. Tomorrow will hopefully be our “Haha.”
