This is the sad reality of generation,we leave no opportunity to harm our life giver. This is a picture from the River front park of Ahemadabad, where a small opening of the earth is all filled with human created artificial wastes. You don’t find any waste on the cemented footpaths, because they are so called “development” of humans. Humans are so much concerned about their artificial creations that they can go to any extent to “protect” even at the cost of nature.
Why do we hate mother earth so much?
When will we realise that we are the ones who is going to suffer?
We being phobic to mother earth will be the reason of our own destruction.

Today we visited in Chhara community. Aatish was telling us a story about Chhara community. I expect that we will learn drama but I learned how Aatish is helping to Chhara? I was feeling good because I thought that today I will learn drama.
At first we visited in prison of old Chhara community. In the British colonial the Chhara were making alcohol. Because British was saying that travel people know about forest, so they can make alcohol for us. They were making alcohol for them by using fruit. In a home more than 25000 people were living. They were not sleeping, they were sitting and spending night. After India independent, from them police were taking tax with them. Now the Chhara community shifted in other places.
We visited a library in Chhara which is found by Mohasmata Devi. She was a writer, who wrote books about Dalits. She heard about Chhara so she came but all people were saying her that don’t go there. That place is thief community, they will harm you. But she didn’t listen to anyone and she went there and she asked do you need any help? Then they said we need a library because Chhara community children’s can’t study on school because they are Chhara. She built a home and buy books for them.

We visited in Chhara community. They are very poor and helpless, they have very small houses where 4-5 children and mother and father are living. We heard a story about Budhan. He was a Chhara and he didn’t do any crimes and police take him in station and beat him. His bones break so he died there. So his story is similar to Chhara, so Mohasmata Devi come in Chhara community and said them to make a video of him so that he will get justice. So they made a video and present in court and he got justice, so that videos name they Capt Budhan theater.

Chhara Community are not getting any achievement because they are Chhara. Police are taking them in jail and beating them. Police are taking lots of money from them. Nobody are helping them because they are Chhara, they are also not allowed to give vote. Women’s are making alcohol till know in illegals because there husband are die in very young age. They need to feed their children and house. They are not going for the work because they are not getting work. Police know that they are making alcohol but they are not doing anything because they are getting money from that. In a month the police are getting 50000-100000Rs that’s why they are not doing anything. This Chhara community have a theater which run by Aatish and other people. This theater are helping to those people who are suffering from problems and nobody help them, so they are helping them by doing theater based on their problems. They are getting justice. They want independent from people.
Session was amazing because this was new for me. I didn’t know that here is below than Dalit. I learned so many things like theater is helping people and about Chhara community. I feel bad because Chhara community are fessing lots of problems. All the things are new for me. It was really good. I like the session.

Yesterday (16th July) was a great day because we went to the Green sSraw organization building to attend a long session there.
We started the session with cleaning up the street by collecting trash from the ground and put it in plastic bags, so we wore gloves then we started collecting the trash till we fill our bags, in the other side we noticed how the people look at us like strangers but we have to keep moving as we made the right decision. After that we met a clever woman who taught us how we can make the food wastes durable in the soil within short period of time. So she got 3 volumes of clay, every one was above the other and they are opened from the bottom. In this natural way we have to put a newspaper, coconut crust brushes and then we add the soil inside them.

Another interesting thing was the seed balls or seed bombs, it’s a ball made up of dry soil and seeds inside that ball, there is no expiration date for it, you just put it in the soil and plant it only. Then we watched 2 videos about the fashion sustainability in the world and how it is effecting the Asian poor countries like India, Bangladesh, Thailand… And we watched a documentary movie about the climate change and the relationship between the ocean and the human,it makes us feel sympathy with the people who facing the effects of climate change, they live in Southeastern Asia like Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and more…
We also learned how we can make a decorated banner from fabric with a needle and thread only. In the last part of the session we drew a painting about the environmental issues in our communities and we try to find a solutions to that problems.
when we finished the session, we went downstairs to visit Pooja shop, it was very nice shop since you can find eco-friendly stuff such as the recycled items.
l learned from this session how I can save our environment as an active member in my community.
