Wrapping up Orientation

The final two days of orientation in Hyderabad got the Leadership Collective learners out into the city. On the 19th, learners first visited a skilling center run by Dr. Reddy’s Foundation where they interacted with those at the center. After a few afternoon community building sessions, the learners set out to dinners across the city of Hyderabad with employees of the the Dr. Reddy’s Labs. It was a fantastic experience where the learners got to see a piece of life in an Indian home. The host families sure learned a lot from the Leadership Collective as well!

Wrapping up orientation on the 20th, students embarked on a scavenger hunt around Char Minar and the old city. After a lunch of biryani, the learners split into groups to visit Naandi NStar Centers around the city. The NStar Centers serve young women by providing a space where they can be themselves, learn life skills, and support each other through challenges. Our learners had a moving experience sharing stories, hardships, and successes with the young women.

On the 21st, we head to Agastya International Foundation in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh to begin our first learning module on Adaptation and Resilience to Climate Change.
